Balancing Act

Believe it or not, it's that time of the year and the first wave of the holiday parties started this week with the Halloween festivities! If you have school age children like me, you know exactly what this means... Tons of SUGAR! Yikes! So, I do my best to counteract this influx of sugary snacks and candies by sending healthy treats instead. I also try to enlist a few other parents to do the same. Below you'll find a few ideas for easy treats that you can send to your kids school parties and feel good about.

  • If you want to keep it super simple, send a bag of clementines

  • If you want to take it up a notch, have your kids help you put strawberries, grapes & or pineapples (or your favorite fresh fruit) on kebab sticks and send them in a large Ziploc bag
